This course explores ethical issues regarding humanity’s relationship with the natural world. Topics include an examination of anthropocentrism, biocentrism, and ecocentrism; animal rights; environmental justice related to race, gender, and nationality ; indigenous views on nature; the climate change crisis; ecofeminism; and urban ecology.
